The required core is small: the notice — © year, rights holder — plus a statement of rights reserved. Everything else is convention that helps a book look properly published: edition and printing, the ISBN for that specific format, the imprint name, a fiction disclaimer, and credits for cover and interior design. It is set small, often 8–9 pt, and ranged left or centred so it reads as record rather than content.
